What does 'it's more than a wash' actually mean?
A wash removes what is sitting on the surface today. A detail removes what has bonded to it over months — iron fallout, tar, tree sap, road film — and then protects what is underneath with wax, sealant or a ceramic coating.
That is the difference between a car that looks clean for a weekend and a car whose paint and interior are not ageing out early.
Why is every package priced "starting at"?
Two things move the number: size and condition.
Size runs in three tiers — sedan, then SUV or truck, then large SUV or exotic — which is why the Refresh Package is quoted $150 / $175 / $200. Every other package quotes a starting price because a lightly used daily driver and a work truck with ground-in sand are not the same job. Call with the year, make, model and an honest description and you get a firm number.
Which package should I pick?
Refresh ($150 / $175 / $200) if the car is basically clean and you want it kept that way.
Refine (from $350) if the paint is the problem and the inside is fine. Super Interior Detail (from $350) if it is the other way around.
Restore (from $450) for a proper reset inside and out. Revive (from $550) when you want nothing on the menu left out.
Do you come to me, or do I come to you?
Lavi is a mobile detailing service — we come to you around Beverly Hills and the Los Angeles area. Confirm your exact address when you book, since some services need water and power access on site.
How long does a detail take?
It tracks the package and the condition. A Refresh is the quickest. Restore and Revive are half-day-plus jobs. Anything with hot water extraction or paint correction runs longer still.
Because size and condition both move it, we give you a realistic window when you book rather than a number that slips.
Can you get smoke or pet odor out?
Odor Removal starts at $50, and the procedure and price vary based on condition. We treat the source rather than masking it — the smell usually lives in carpet, headliner and the AC system, not in the air.
It is already included in the Super Interior Detail and the Revive Package. Heavy smoke or long-standing pet odor sometimes needs hot water extraction ($150 extra) alongside it.
My car is full of dog hair. Is that extra?
Yes — Pet Hair Removal starts at $60 and is priced separately from the shampoo. Embedded hair gets woven into carpet and cloth seats and a vacuum will not lift it; it is its own job. Mention it when you book so the time is set aside.
What is the difference between wax, sealant and ceramic coating?
Radiant Wax Polish (from $60) — 3-month protection. Deep gloss, seasonal rhythm.
Ceramic Spray Sealant (from $100, or $80 added to a package) — 6-month protection. A sprayed ceramic layer that bonds to the clear coat, so water sheets off and brake dust rinses away.
Premium Ceramic Coating (from $1,000) — a hand-applied liquid polymer that bonds with the factory paint for roughly 1.5 to 5 years.
Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?
Usually, yes. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so swirls and scratches get sealed in for years.
1 Step (from $500) for stains and light marring. 2 Step (from $750) when swirls show under direct sun. 3 Step (from $1,250) when you can catch a scratch with a fingernail.
Are floor mats charged separately?
No. Carpets Shampooed & Sanitized (includes floor mats) starts at $80 — the mats come with the carpets.
Can you fix foggy, yellowed headlights?
Headlight Restoration starts at $100: complete wet sanding, buffing and sealing with state-of-the-art polymers. It restores, brightens and protects the dullest and foggiest of headlights, and it makes a real difference to nighttime vision.
Add a ceramic coating on the lenses for $80 more so they stay clear instead of yellowing again within a year.
How often should I have the car detailed?
A maintenance Refresh every few weeks keeps a car on top of itself. A full Restore or Revive once or twice a year resets it.
If you carry a wax you are on a 3-month rhythm; a ceramic spray sealant puts you on 6 months; a ceramic coating moves you to a yearly check.
Can I book a single service instead of a package?
Yes — everything on the À La Carte Services page can be booked on its own, and most of it can be added to a package. Ceramic Spray Sealant, for example, is $100 alone or $80 added to a package.
